Sunday Stash

Sunday Stash and Weekly WIP

I’m a little (ok alot) behind in my sewing adventures this week.  I have so many projects happening I can never decide where to start!

This week my feature fabric is a Japanese fabric called Wildwood.

I’ve searched for the designer but havn’t been able to find him or her.  If you know this fabric please do tell!

This week I’ve been working on my free motion quilting, I’ve discovered bloglovin and I’ve started on the pattern for my retro quilt featuring last weeks, stash.

I’ll be trying to stay true to the fabric while using a combination of applique and traditional techniques.

I’m linking up with Mollie Sparkles who has just been to California (jealous much!) and picked up some gorgeous solids from Art Gallery Pure Elements.

Superheroes and a Sunday Stash

Last week I posted about the Superhero collection from Robert Kaufman.  I had a quilt pattern all planned out but when I started cutting my fabrics a whole new pattern emerged and I decided to go with it.

I’ve made blocks in various sizes along with some flying geese.  I’ve also ordered the superhero panel and I’m working on a pattern for a lightening bolt.  Now I just have to pull it all together!

In the meantime, here is my stash for this week.

This is Wendy Kendall’s Retro Orchard for Dashwood Studio.  I’d love to create a quilt that pays homage to all things kitchy and 70’s.  Retro flowers or kitchy caravan?  Whats your favourite retro quilt block?
